Susan has a strong track record in executive search. Her initial focus was on the financial services industry after starting her career in investment banking. As a Partner at Heyman Associates, she supports overall firm and business growth and leads searches across multiple industry sectors in corporate communications, government relations, media relations, investor relations, and marketing.

 

She has lived and worked in London, New York, Seattle, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, and while most of her search experience has been in the U.S., she has also conducted searches across Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa, and Latin America.

 

As a business leader, Susan was instrumental in building several executive search practices, training, and coaching both individuals and teams. As a consultant and advisor, she has facilitated the career advancement of executives at all levels. Her passion for helping individuals and organizations, not least to navigate ambiguity and complexity, led her to qualify and practice as a Newfield Network Certified Ontological Coach.

 

Susan is a graduate of Swansea University with a bachelor’s degree in German and business. She speaks conversational French, German, and Mandarin but sadly remembers only a few words of the Italian and Japanese she learned, and almost no Russian!

 

Aside from perfecting the art of moving and learning about different cultures, languages, and cuisines, Susan loves long walks with friends and her dogs, gardening, reading, and dining and traveling with family and friends, especially her two daughters.
