With his ability to uncover the unique qualities of both clients and candidates, T.R. has managed a range of searches, including for media relations, corporate communications and public affairs roles in the automotive, consumer goods, energy and higher education sectors. He also manages and supervises the operations of our research team, including the development of strategy and execution for client-focused projects. T.R. supports HA’s participation in the College of Charleston’s Communications Advisory Council and serves as a guest speaker at colleges and universities, for both undergraduate and graduate programs, on career development topics in communications.

Prior to joining Heyman, T.R. worked for Teach for America, most recently as Recruitment Director.  In his role, he managed recruitment efforts at liberal arts colleges and state universities and developed the hiring and training programs for over 250 interns.  Previously, as a corps member, he taught high school social studies in Baltimore City, MD.

“Recruiting for Teach for America taught me how to work strategically toward a goal, while remaining focused on finding candidates with the perfect fit.  I grew to appreciate the need to understand the core of the individual, so that we could select the most appropriate people.”

T.R. graduated from the University of Richmond with a dual degree in Leadership Studies and Political Science and then earned his Master of Arts in Teaching from The Johns Hopkins University.

He lives in the East Village of Manhattan, is working on eating his way through every restaurant in his neighborhood and hopes to one day have a dog that will grant him entry to the dog park down the street.
