As he works with HA’s comprehensive connections, Peter manages searches across multiple industries and practices.  He also is an integral part of new business development efforts and enjoys speaking at academic institutions to build upon the firm’s relationships.  In addition, Peter supports HA’s involvement with the Arthur W. Page Society and serves as co-chair of the 2012 Page Learning Community Event.

Prior to joining Heyman, Peter solidified his relationship-building and recruiting skills most recently at James & Company, where he handled searches in media and entertainment, sports and technology.  Previously, Peter was an associate at Sextant Search Partners, where he supported multiple financial services practices through research and candidate identification and outreach.  Earlier, he was a recruiter at People Ventures, a boutique search firm in DC, where he collaborated with Fortune 500 companies.  He began his career as an intern with Bloomberg LP.

“At Sextant Search Partners, I learned the value of having a foundation in deep and strategic research training.  That base, combined with my years of senior-level candidate outreach and relationship-building, makes for a successful search.”

Peter is a graduate of the University of Richmond with a bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric and Communications Studies and American Studies, coupled with a concentration in Ethnic Studies and a minor in History.  A relationship-builder at his core, he remains active in his alma mater through his role as alumni recruitment committee regional coordinator for the Office of Admission and his involvement with young alumni networking.

Despite Peter’s busy schedule, he makes time to run, sail, as well as see the world.  His travels all over Europe and to such exotic lands as Cuba and Fiji serve as great conversation starters as he continues to build relationships in work and life.
